Chapter 3: Kinsmen Killer
A crowd of this many souls - perhaps close to 150-160 people in total, that was something which was incredibly rare to witness; so many souls together at once in the village square? That could only happen in case of really extraordinary event. And something along such lines, well, something extraordinarily disturbing for nearly everyone in the village of Fyahi had indeed occurred recently: the beheaded dead body of a man from a non-notable lineage but still having a reputation for being a friendly, honest and helpful neighbour, was found, lying next to the dismembered remains of his nephew; latter having been sawed off right through the middle- top to bottom. then further mutilated in an unmistakable pattern as if the twin murder was something more akin to some ritual exercise…
What left a much darker, deeper shiver down the spines of nearly everyone was when the perpetrator was rather easily caught. Actually he wasn’t exactly caught, he just casually walked up to a spot near the main collection of shops and animal sheds where it would be easiest to quickly collect an audience and began to preach, shout, warn, and finally begin the story of what he did and why he did it, but more like a proud proclamation of divine justice than a confession of guilt:
